Monolink: The name closing Chapter VI

Sunday night, 26 July. When the clock hits 22:30 on the Main Stage, there will be a guitar, a voice, and a set gathering the whole story of two days. Monolink closes Soundscape Chapter VI.

Berlin's Steffen Linck has built one of electronic music's most difficult balances: carrying songwriting and club music in the same body. A journey that began busking with a guitar on the streets of Berlin now stretches from Coachella to Tomorrowland, from Burning Man to the world's major concert halls. On stage he is neither fully a DJ nor fully a singer-songwriter; it is a format of his own, where live vocals, guitar and electronic production merge into a single narrative.

His 2018 debut "Amniotic" introduced that sound to the world with tracks like "Return to Oz" and "The Prey". "Under Darkening Skies" (2021) evolved into darker, more cinematic territory. His third album "The Beauty Of It All", released last September, is the most personal work of his career; an introspective ten-track journey built on beauty, impermanence and human connection, where the organic and the electronic intertwine. Tracks like "Mesmerized" and "Powerful Play" sum up how far that street-corner story has travelled.

Istanbul is no stranger to this story. Monolink played two consecutive nights in the city last November; now he returns in an entirely different context: not a concert hall, but the open air of Lifepark's forest, at the peak of a festival night.

What happens when the introspective texture of the new album meets the energy of classics like "Return to Oz" in a single set? We find out together on the night of 26 July.
